✅ Top Tips for Staying Gas Safe

• Annual Servicing: Have all gas appliances serviced annually by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. Please assist us to stay compliant by ensuring access is provided for these checks.

• Carbon Monoxide Alarms: Make sure you have a working CO alarm. We recommend testing it monthly and report to us if it is not working. If your alarm sounds but not whilst being tested, this may be due to a carbon monoxide leak, and you must contact SGN immediately. 

• Know the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning:

 - Headaches

 - Dizziness

 - Nausea

 - Collapse or loss of consciousness

 👉 Seek medical help immediately if you experience these.

• Spot the signs of a gas leak:

 - Appliances cutting out

 - A strong sulphur/‘rotten egg’ smell

 - Hissing sounds near gas pipes

• If you suspect you have a gas or carbon monoxide leak:
