We are committed to the principle of independent living and will assist tenants to stay in their own homes for as long as they wish to do so. If your own, or a family members medical, mobility, hearing or sight needs have changed since you moved into your home, it may be that adaptations would make it easier for you to manage.
If you think adaptations to your home would be of benefit you can arrange for an Occupational Therapist (OT), employed by Glasgow City Council, to visit you and carry out an assessment. The OT will then make recommendations to us on your behalf. We would recommend you speak to your GP who can make a referral on your behalf.
Medical Adaptations will be carried out by us providing there is funds remaining in our pre-set budget. If we are unable to carry out your adaptation due to budgetary constraints, it will be carried out once a new budget is implemented at the start of the financial year as a high priority.
