As a Registered Social Landlord (RSL), we are required to comply with the regulatory requirements for all social landlords, and the standards of governance and financial management for RSLs. These requirements are set by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) in line with its powers under the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010. Our Management Committee assess compliance with these standards on an ongoing basis, and annually submit an “Annual Assurance Statement” to the SHR to confirm the outcome of this extensive assessment process.
In February 2021 the SHR set our regulatory status to “compliant (under review)” following our submission of a Notifiable Event report. Since then we have introduced a number of measures to enhance our governance and tenant and resident safety arrangements, and we were pleased when our regulatory status was reinstated to “compliant” in October 2021. This regulatory status is retained in our published Regulation Plan for 2022/23, and we are continuing to engage with the SHR to confirm the arrangements for resolving the issues we identified within our deck access properties at St Vincent Terrace.
Further information on our regulatory status is contained within our Engagement Plan below, and further information on the regulatory framework is available on the SHR’s website.
