We're pleased to introduce our new Handyperson Service, currently being offered as a pilot to eligible GWHA tenants.

The service is designed to help tenants who may need a little extra support with small, practical jobs around the home, helping them to live safely and independently.

What can the Handyperson Service help with?

The service can assist with a range of minor household tasks, such as:

• Fitting curtain rails and blinds
• Installing grab rails (where appropriate)
• Assembling small items of flat-pack furniture
• Hanging shelves, pictures, or mirrors
• Replacing light bulbs and smoke alarm batteries (where safe to do so)
• Other small repairs and maintenance tasks

Who is eligible?

The pilot is available to GWHA tenants who meet the eligibility criteria. This may include tenants who are:

• Everyone in your household is aged 60 years old or over
• Every adult member of your household has a long-term disability or physical health condition that you have evidenced to GWHA.
