We’re keeping our service provision under continuous review, taking account of emerging Covid-19 restrictions and advice.  

Our service provision from Friday 8 July 2022 is as follows:

Office and Concierge Stations

Our 5 Royal Crescent Office is open, with controls to ensure your safety and that of staff. 
All other methods of contacting staff remain in place as per the details below. 
Guidance for attending the office:
Please be aware that you are able to contact us by telephone if this is your preference;
- Our main office is now fully open.  You are able to visit us in person.  We recommend that you call or email us in advance to arrange an appointment.  Priority will be given to those visitors who have made appointments in advance;
- There is no limit to visitors to the office.  
- Hand sanitiser, masks and gloves are available for your use within the reception area.
- Screens have been installed to our reception and interview areas to assist with covid safety.
Our concierge stations remain closed at this time.
Concierge teams are focussed on day-shift duties. Priority is being given to cleaning of high-touch areas. Any changes to this service will be communicated in a timely manner.

Working Within/ Visits to Your Home

We have now fully resumed visits to your home.  

We ask that you maintain a 1 metre social distance from any staff or contractor whilst they are within your home, and to open windows and doors to fully ventilate the property if this is possible.

Emergency Repairs
  • To report an Emergency Repair during normal working hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm) please call 0141 331 6652. Alternatively, e-mail details to rservice@glasgowwestha.co.uk
  • To report an Emergency Repair out with normal working hours, please call City Building on 0800 595 595. This number is freephone from landlines and mobiles.
Routine Repairs

Annual Gas Servicing

  • We continue to undertake annual gas services in Tenant’s homes in line with our statutory obligations and Government guidelines. 
  • If your service is due we will make contact several weeks in advance.
  • We request your co-operation in agreeing access arrangements.
Stock Condition Surveys 
  • Our Technical Team are currently carrying out stock condition surveys of our properties. You may receive a letter in the post advising on specific dates our Project Officers will be in your area. We would ask that tenants please use the contact details provided within this letter to arrange a suitable time/date to carry out the survey. The information gathered during these surveys will help inform our Major Works Investment Plan. 

Major Works & Investment 

  • Our major works and investment plan is underway, as we look to bring homes up to new required standards and improve the quality and energy efficiency of your home. We plan a 30-year Life Cycle Programme that acts as an indicative guide for when and where Major Works are due. This is divided into a 5-yearly programme, which is then reviewed on an annual basis. We consider age and condition when creating a renewal programme for specific elements. We will contact you directly via letter when works are due in your home. General updates about our investment plans are available in our quarterly newsletter, on our website and Social Media channels

Environmental Services

  • Routine Environmental Services, as per the expected Soft Landscaping schedule, are planned. Caledonian Maintenance are undertaking scheduled weekly / fortnightly / Monthly cleaning.  Please contact the Estates Services Team for further information on your scheduled contractor attendance days. 
  • Please see the following update in relation to Glasgow City Council Bulk uplift services which changed on 5 July 2021 HERE. Previous kerb-side bulk waste collection arrangements are no longer applicable. To ensure Fire Safety in the common areas of your home please keep stairs/ landings and basements clear of bulk items.
  • For details of the Total Homes bulk uplift initiative please see HERE.
  • If you become aware of any potential bulk waste health and safety issues within your communal areas or backcourt, or have any household items you wish advice on how best to dispose of please contact us as per the details outlined below.
