WE’RE CONSULTING ON OUR HOUSING ALLOCATIONS POLICY AND WANT TO HEAR YOUR VIEWS!
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 introduces changes to the way in which all Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) allocate their empty properties. Specifically, it stipulates the three categories of people who must be given reasonable preference:
• Homeless or threatened with homelessness
• Unsatisfactory housing conditions with unmet housing needs
• Under-occupying RSL Tenants
We have developed our new policy (Consultation Draft here) to ensure we are compliant with all relevant legislation; address housing need; make the best use of housing stock; and serve the community.
YOUR VIEWS SHAPE OUR SERVICES so please take the time to provide your feedback via our online survey
