Once settled in your home there are some responsibilities that come with your tenancy in relation to taking care of the property. 

You should:

  • Report any maintenance issues so we can carry out repair required. Some repair issues will be your responsibility. Please refer to your tenant’s hand book which can be found in section of 10.4 of your tenant’s handbook which can be found here.
  • Keep the property well ventilated and ensure it adequately heated. This will prevent the build-up of condensation and black mould.  Advice can be found HERE. Angie link to relevant article.
  • Avoid causing damage to your property, neighbouring properties and any shared areas you have access to.
  • Provide access to our officers / contractors in the course of inspections, repairs or investment works, within reasonable acceptable timescales set out in your tenancy agreement.
  • Request permission for any alterations you wish to make to the property which may include changing light fittings or fitting laminate flooring. Advice can be found HERE. Angie link to relevant article.
