Annual Tenants Conference 2016

Our 16th Annual Tenants Conference (ATC) was held on Saturday 23rd January

at the Sandyford Henderson Church; it was a record turnout for this annual event with the vast majority of attendees finding the ATC a positive experience; thank you to all who attended.  Your contributions through the surgeries, the open forum discussions and the Evaluation Forms all inform our decisions on future priorities and services and are very much appreciated.  

Our Management Committee Meeting on 26/01/16 considered the feedback from the Annual Tenants Conference and the responses sent directly to the office, Members explored the impact of containing increases at 0% or 2% and noted at 1.75% the need for savings to avoid a shortfall in target investment contributions.  Members were mindful of the recent exceptional stonework, the energy efficient standard required for Social Housing and fully costed major repairs programme resulting in expenditure of 21 million over 5 years and of regulatory and tenant expectations and supporting contractors to achieve the Living Wage.  Members endeavoured to reach a fair and achievable outcome and approved 1.75 % increase, which, was also supported by a considerable majority (73% of those who provided feedback) at the ATC.
